1. How many letters can fit in the
spaces?
We've personalized each ornament
with fictional names to show you
how the ornament will look when
it's personalized and also to give
you an idea of the length of a
name or phrase that will fit in
the designated space.
2. Will the ink rub off? Are
there special care instructions?
The ink will not rub off. We use
permanent ink markers to write the
names, year, and inscription. We
only use black ink as it is the
most permanent.
The dough ornaments are made of a
mixture of flour, salt, and water
with coloring added into the dough
mixture. They are quite durable
and will last for years if stored
in a dry place. We recommend
placing dough ornaments in a zip
lock baggie and storing them
somewhere inside the home. Please
don't store them in the attic,
basement, or a garage. If an
ornament does break it can usually
be repaired with Elmer's Glue, and
recoated with a little clear nail
polish.
3. What if a name is spelled
incorrectly?
We ask you to double check the
spelling of each name because the
ink is permanent. If we make a spelling
error we will of course replace
the ornament at no charge to you.
If however you have spelled a name
incorrectly on the order form, we
regret that we cannot accept
the ornament as a return
for credit.
4. What about returns?
Our goal is your complete
satisfaction with the products we
send you. We will personalize your
ornaments to order with lettering
style similar to what you see on
the products shown here. If we
have a question about your order,
we will send you an email and wait
for your response.
Because these ornaments are
personalized to order, all sales
are final, unless a) the ornament arrives
broken, or b) we personalized the
ornament with text that does not
match your order as submitted.
Please notify us by email of the
problem within 3 days of
shipment. Place the ornament back
in the shipping box and address
and mail it to us using United
States Postal Service first class.
We will return the cost of the
postage to you using the credit
card number you originally gave
us. We will then replace the
ornament within two working days
of receipt and send it back to you
at no additional charge.
5. How long will it take to get my
order?
Calliope Designs will ship your
order within three business days
of receiving it. An exception to
this would be if we had a
question about your order and
needed to send an email to you
and receive one back before we
could process the order. (So
please respond quickly if you
hear from us!)
We use U.S. Priority Mail to
ship most U.S. orders. Delivery
is usually in 2-3 business days
(although this is not a
"guaranteed" service). So, under
normal circumstances, you will
receive your order in 4-6
business days.
We also offer USPS First Class. The Postal Service estimates delivery time at 3-7 days. combined with the time to process your order you would normally recieve your package in 5-10 business days. WE DO NOT RECCOMEND this option after December 1st as we and the postal service are very busy at this time of year. Also Mother Nature is busy and can affect delivery times for the U.S. Postal Service.
If there is a time when you
would like a rush order we are
able to use USPS Express Mail.
The fee for this service depends
upon the weight and distance.
These options will be offered
to you at checkout.
6. My order's a gift. Can I ship
it directly to the recipient?
Yes, you can have your ornaments
shipped to you or to the
recipient(s). In the case of drop
shipments, shipping charges will
be applied to each individual
shipment.
7. I'd like to have an ornament
gift wrapped and a card enclosed.
Is that possible?
Yes, the charge for gift wrapping
with gift enclosure is $7.00 per
ornament. Depending on the size of
the ornament we will use a white
gift box with cotton inside,
approximately 5" tall X 3 1/2"
wide. Or if the ornament is larger
or more three dimensional, we will
use a white 4" X 4" X 4" cube box.
We'll carefully wrap it with
tasteful gift wrapping paper and
tie it with a ribbon bow.
The gift enclosure will be placed
in a small envelope and attached
to the outside of the gift.
8. Should I put the year on the
ornament?
When you put the year on the
ornament you create a collectible
gift that marks the special
occasion of this year. Whether
it's a new baby, a wedding, an
engagement or anniversary, or just
a special family Christmas
together, it's always fun to take
out the ornaments each year and
remember when you received each
one.
9. Do you accept International
orders?
Yes we accept International Orders
to many countries (but not all)!
Canada, Great Brittan, Ireland,
most European countries,
Australia and New Zealand! We
will be delighted to accommodate
orders to other countries, just
